Her story is a real life fashion fairytale. Born and raised in a small town in the sand hills of western Nebraska, Monica Byrne dreamed of designing her own label in New York City. While attending the University of Kansas, she began studying textile design. Quickly fascinated with the various weaving processes and dyeing techniques, Monica immersed herself in the fibers of the textile world. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in textile design. Upon graduation, this Midwestern girl moved to New York City. Armed with an internship for designer Lucy Barnes, Monica immediately found her place in the fashion world. Eventually working as Assistant Designer within Barnes' company, she never lost sight of her original dream. In 2004, the Monica Byrne label began.

These soft, flowing fabrics merge with Swarovski crystals, corals, semi-precious stones and metal beads to make each piece unique and one-of-a-kind.
